Print is not dead. Despite the movement within the industry from paper to pixels, print still has a place in the scheme of communication. It functions efficiently and beautifully when handled correctly. Because ink on substrate requires no power source or internet connection to function, it is the ultimate low-tech medium.
I use print when communications need to be discreet, when they need to be tactile or to rise from the flat surface. When I want the reader to handle the materials, to linger over the substrate, or to enjoy the texture of an emboss, deboss or raised type, I turn to my old friend print.
